I love taking photos since my youth days, though I never get around to seriously doing it until I was studying for my Diploma in Multimedia, which involved audio and visual modules. I believe that really whet my appetite in photography down the road, and a soon after graduation, I started to pay a greater amount of attention to it, investing time and effort into this hobby.
At that time, I had a modest but really awesome X100 (I'm serious I love this baby!) with me, but that alone was enough. I enjoy working with limitations as they encourage and stretch me to think of ways to improvise in order to get the shots that I want. Having only a prime 35mm equivalent prime attached to it, using the X100 made me take more steps too. I hardly exercise, so perhaps that was a good thing...but that's besides the main purpose of this post. Random speech aside, I woke up to a pleasant news in my personal inbox this morning. VSCO emailed me to inform that one of my photos from my collection "has been curated to VSCO Selects, which showcases exceptional content from around the globe." I am really grateful to the team at VSCO for this. Being able to have a photo curated along with fellow talented VSCO artists in the world is truly an honour! :) Please do check out the gallery. Thanks! P.S. I'm kurobutadaisuki on VSCO.
